Here, you can download
The GHOUL [0.66 MB]
If you don’t know
how to install libraries in OpenSCAD…
Oh, look, I just showed you where to find out, but I’ll give you the quick and dirty anyway:
-
Extract TheGHOUL.zip in your library directory, usually you can just right-click the file in your file manager and select something like Extract Here, this should create a TheGHOUL subdirectory.
Your library directory is at:-
Linux: $HOME/.local/share/OpenSCAD/libraries
-
Mac OS X: $HOME/Documents/OpenSCAD/libraries
-
Windows: My Documents\OpenSCAD\libraries
-
-
Put
include<TheGHOUL/Config.scad>at the start of your OpenSCAD source files.
You’re all ready to go, enjoy The GHOUL.
The GHOUL’s documentation.
You can also download
GHOUL-Documentation [62 MB] (That’s, like, this entire website!)
Simply move the file called GHOULDOCS.zip anywhere you like and 'unzip' it. Boom. Done. You have The GHOUL’s excellent documentation all to yourself! Just go to the newly created 'GHOULDOCS' directory and open index.html with your favourite browser. No internet access required. No need to install a server stack. Nifty.

My method sits somewhere between manually coding every single tag and style, and Wix &co. I’m comfortable with it, and I feel I have enough low-ish-level control, but there’s a little learning to be done, especially if you’re using make, as and how I do. |
If your interest in digital electronic computation devices goes beyond solid modelling, and you’d like to know how I built this site; I’ve wrapped up the basic skeleton of this website—along with the make file I use—for you to explore and gloat over my mistakes, or use for yourself, or whatever… It’s all there, the Asciidoctor CSS with my patches, the navbar, the directory structure with section- and page templates, the lot. Have it.

There’s a page here about how and why I came to use AsciiDoctor and 'make'.
